There's a moment I've seen inside almost every marketing organization I've ever worked with.
It's the moment after someone presents the safe idea. The predictable campaign. The brief that sounds reasonable and will probably perform fine and will absolutely be forgotten by next quarter. Everyone in the room knows it. Nobody says it.
I say it.
Not to be difficult. Not to blow up the process. But because I've spent 25+ years watching brands spend real money making wallpaper — and I know what's possible when someone gives creative courage an actual seat at the table.
I'm Travis. I'm a fractional creative executive and brand consultant.
I work with marketing leaders and founders who are tired of playing it safe but aren't quite sure how to stop. Together we find the white space — the unexpected angle, the bolder idea, the strategy that makes your team look at each other and ask "can we actually do that?" My job is to make sure the answer is yes.
What makes me different isn't just what I do. It's how I'm wired.
Most people are either creative or strategic. I'm both — simultaneously and without apology. I can generate an idea big enough to make a room the best kind of nervous and map out exactly how to ship, sell, and scale it in the same conversation. My clients call me a "Center-Brained Creative." Some have called me a Unicorn. What I call it is just how I think.
I've led creative teams from 15 to 100+ people. I've built award-winning campaigns at two of the largest retailers in the U.S. I've sat across from CEOs and Boards and defended bold creative vision with data, conviction, and the receipts to back it up. I've worked inside organizations navigating bankruptcy, brand reinvention, and every kind of messy in-between.
I've seen what happens when creative courage wins. And I've seen what gets left on the table when it doesn't.
Here's what I believe with absolute certainty:
Creativity isn't an artistic luxury. It's the most powerful business tool most organizations are systematically underusing. The data is unambiguous — creative quality is the single most powerful variable under a marketer's control for driving business growth. A brilliant idea doesn't just win awards. It makes every dollar you spend on media work harder.
But data doesn't walk into a room and make people believe something is possible.
That's what I do.
When I'm not working with clients you'll find me hunting for the perfect record at a vintage shop, planning an adventure that will make a great story later, or losing track of time at a pinball machine. I believe a life without creative curiosity is a life half-lived — and I bring that same restless curiosity to every client I work with.
If you're building — or rebuilding — a brand and need someone who's been in your shoes, who knows what bold actually looks like, and who will tell you the truth with respect and conviction —
Let's talk.
